The Knack...

"The Knack"...

For the past 11 years I have worked for a federal engineering organization and around the water cooler I've heard people talk about so and so having "the knack". Usually "the knack" refers to engineer types tearing items apart to see how to build them bigger and better. However, in my case "the knack" refers to a individual who lives a creative life...using artistic abilities for work and play.

At a very young age starting drawing, painting, crafting and taking pictures with my Polaroid camera. In fact, my elementary school closed during my Kindergarten year and a few years ago the school district unlocked the school and auctioned off several items. While it was neat to see the school again, the best treasure came from a some children's artwork I found in the cafeteria. It wasn't just any artwork, it was a crayon drawing I drew for my mother to hang in her kitchen [she was the school cook at the time].

Finding that Kindergarten artwork got me thinking about my life and how I really do have the creative knack. I launched this blog to document the creativity in my life in hopes that I will inspire others to think more creatively about their life.
